Kate Triggs
Executive Producer

Kate was born in London, grew up in Bristol, and studied Drama at Bristol University. After university she worked in theatre administration before moving to London and starting work at the European Script Fund, where she got to know film and television writers, producers and directors from all over Europe.

In 1994 Kate moved to the drama department of BBC Northern Ireland, first as a script editor, then as Head of Development and finally an Executive Producer. There she worked with Adrian Hodges on the BBC2 adaption of John McGahern’s novel Amongst Women, Donna Franceschild on the BBC2 adaption of Robert McLiam Wilson’s Eureka Street, Ali White on the BBC1 series Any Time Now, Lizzie Mickery on the BBC1 film Sinners and three series of the BBC1 detective franchise Messiah.

Since setting up Great Meadow Productions in 2004, Kate’s most recent work includes executive producer of BRADFORD RIOTS, a film she initiated with writer and director Neil Biswas, three new MESSIAH series, the BBC4 film THE LONG WALK TO FINCHLEY by Tony Saint, the BBC2 films MARGARET by Rick Cottan and WHEN HARVEY MET BOB by Joe Dunlop and the BBC4 adaptation of John Braine's novel ROOM AT THE TOP by Amanda Coe.
